Vavoom uses skyboxes, which is pretty much a big box for the sky textures. Heretic, Doom, and Hexen were not really 3D games. They were 2D, but extrapolated into 3D. (that's why there are no bridges or rooms over rooms... the 2D does not allow it.) Original Heretic did not have to ability to look upwards more than a few degrees, so they could just use a wrappable texture for the sky. Because Vavoom is true 3D, that's not really possible.<br><br>What would probably need to be done it to create seperate textures for each part of the skybox (North wall, South wall, East wall, West wall, and Top) to make it look better.<br><br>Of course, Janis knows a bit more, so I'll let him explain anything else (or stuff I messed up ;D )
