I just have a quick question (well, 2). I have downloaded and moved the vmodels pk3 into the basev/doom directory. Models look cool and work great, but there is something I was curious about. Is there supposed to be a black box surrounding the flash from a gunshot? Just quickly tested with the pistol/shotgun and the flame has a black box surrounding it. Just a technical question about the vmusic... after placing the pk3 packages into the respective doom and doom1 folders, I noticed vavoom adds both pk3 files on startup. Is this normal?

1. You are surely using the software renderer when the black box appears, right? It's a known limitation of the software renderer, it seems it's not able to make PNG tranparencies. 2. It's normal that it adds both files, one has all the music IIRC, the other has the definitions for the music to work <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->.

When you said "surely you are using the software renderer," surely you were right! I had no idea it used software rendering by default, so adding the -opengl parameter solved it! Thanks a bunch!
