The new year is almost here and a new version of Vavoom has been released. This version comes with many changes for sound and music. I replaced DirectMusic driver with new driver that uses native Windows API, so it should sound much nicer. Besides MIDI, Vavoom now has support for MP3, Vorbis, FLACC and tracker module format music files. The in-game sounds now can be also in WAV and FLAC formats. Support for SNDINFO and SNDSEQ extensions also has been added. And of course there's bug fixes and improvements in other places.

That's strange, why in progs 'server' folder alot of files are absent? For example: ceilings.vc, doors.vc, things.vc etc. Is their contents is moved somewhere? Happy New 2006 Year!

Yes, they were moved, mostly to ???LevelInfo class (in case of Hexen it will be HexenLevelInfo).

hmm, tried it - in OpenGL, the particles are HUGE! - the brightness doesn't brighten the entire picture, making lighting in levels still visually dark - it'd be cool if midi were played back with the preferred device in windows rather than forced to use the M$ Synthesizer. - midi volume can't be controlled system: Athlon64 2ghz, Radeon9500 pro, win2k
