updatelevel : player overflow

Hey all, I'm new to Vavoom and not sure if this is a bug or something that I can fix with options. The error is:
updatelevel : player overflow
When playing some Hexen levels such as map27 Heresiarch's Seminary, this error shows up and repeats indefintely on the console. In game, you cannot see most of the sprites. I'm guessing that this is because there's too many things on the map. Almost every single map does this in multiplayer (co-op or deathmatch), even Winnowing Hall! Is this fixable with a console parameter (like the unaligned sprites) or something? If not fixable now, are there plans to fix in the future?

As far as I know it is not a bug, but, let's say, current engine's version problem. I was told by someone (Janis or Firebrand) that this is because program became too complex lately. As I understood that, it doesn't have memory to draw everything on screen. But ofcourse this would be fixed, I believe. ...i want to believe... Actually it's a problem of the current networking architecture. There's a lots of changes planed to fix this problem.
