Well, here is the problem. I have been working on this Vavoom specific project called 'Fallen' for a little over 5 years on and off.
I want to finish it but the motivation has dried up severely. Part of me wants to keep it dead, the other is to resurrect it. I don't know what to do about it.
I have two long term wad projects which should have got finished years ago.
If I may say, the spark to do anything must come from you.
I've found it useful to split the projects in smaller pieces and then set them a realistic time table: "I'll get this MAP03 finished in three weeks" - and then stick in that.
Make a habit to do something on regular basis. If nothing more move vertices around, add new items, enemies, or add new secret areas ex tempore without planning. Try creating something new. Try to do something different to wake up the interest again.
If you've been making the same map for ages set it aside for a while and continue with an other level. Try to get inspiration by playing other wads. (I like tech style wads so playing Darken2, PAR, Nimrod, Dark7, Darkhour and some others during holidays was really refreshing after many years.) By checking something new you might see your levels in different light and know better what you want.
Whatever you'll do, don't let your mod get erased. The pics look great - You've worked a lot for that - Projects can sleep dormant for years, but *make backups* (a USB stick for example) so that a sudden hard drive failure won't make decisions for you!
