Tweaking the Launcher

How can I tweak the launcher so it only reads the DOOM games? I plan to have two copies of Vavoom: One will only consist of Original DOOM and DOOM II. Those are the ones I wish to work through, and since their revitalization is just about complete, I only have to wait for a few more updates before I can actually try to beat them. The other copy will consist of all the games, including Ultimate DOOM. And I'll wait the long wait before all 7 games are fully revitalized. Of course, if you think I should use JDOOM for this sort of thing, and just have the entire VaVoom pack, that's fine by me.

By modifying the source code. You'll need Borland C++ Builder 6 to compile it.

Hey there, I just got back into VaVoom, as I now think it is THE definitive DOOM source port, with the graphics of JDOOM and the compatibility of DOOM Legacy. Now, I just found out about all the crap you have to sign to get into Borland and the insane size of the files to need to download for this compiler. I don't think it's worth it just to modify one launcher. Maybe you could send me a modified copy of the launcher by e-mail? I want two launchers. Here's what I want in the first one: DOOM DOOM II Here's what I want in the second one: Ultimate DOOM DOOM II Final DOOM Plutonia Final DOOM TNT My E-mail address is: Skaarj_6@hotmail.com

Anyone listening? Hello?

Well now I'd like a third launcher to go along with the other two. Here's what I want in it: Heretic Heretic: Special Edition Hexen Hexen: Deathkings Strife The reason I want a seperate launcher for these games is because I don't really care for them as much as the DOOM games.

The problem is I don't have Borland C++ builder installed right now (I work in Linux now).

I have. Maybe I can help (if it should not consume too much time)? What should be done here?

At last! OK, all I want is three launchers. The first one will contain: Original DOOM DOOM II The second one will contain: Original DOOM Ultimate DOOM DOOM II Final DOOM Plutonia Final DOOM TNT The third one will contain: Heretic Heretic Special Edition Hexen Hexen Deathkings Strife Send all three of them to my e-mail address at: Skaarj_6@hotmail.com If you do this for me, you'll make me a very happy man.

Still, I'm afraid I do not understand this to the end. You are talking about Vavoom launcher program - a window where you select which game are you going to run, type extra parameters etc, yes? What's the point of building 3 programs then? Why not make some sort of category filter in a single launcher instead? I am sorry, probably I just didn't get it.

Because: 1. I want one for the original DOOM and DOOM II. These are the ones I truly care about, because they were officially made my id. 2. I want one for all the DOOM games (including Ultimate DOOM), because it will tie the storyline of the four games together. 3. I want a seperate one for Heretic, Hexen, and Strife, because I don't care much about those as I do the DOOM games, and I don't want them in the same launcher as DOOM. Now you could make TWO launchers: Original DOOM Ultimate DOOM DOOM II Final DOOM Plutonia Final DOOM TNT Then: Heretic Heretic Special Edition Hexen Hexen Deathkings Strife I wouldn't mind if you did that.

Is this a launcher like the one in Hexen 95??? (You are able to, using a menu, choose things like playing custom wads, changing keybind, use additional resolution (the launcher supported more than just 320x240, etc) I couldn't really understand either... What's worng with Vavoom's original launcher? I use it all the time to set sound settings, play custom wads and use software rendering...
