Recent changes page for the Vavoom wiki: http://vavoom-engine.com/wiki/index.php ... &limit=500 Heh, something really needs to be done to curb this. At the rate they're going, they're going to fill up your server space before the year is up. :p Not to mention the server resources they are needlessly taking up. Anyway, I've temporarily removed all of the spam off of most of the pages of the wiki (and by temporary I mean till the bots add more crap back in). Something more permanent needs to be done, however. To stop and new ones from registering, I would recommend reCAPTCHA, this is the one MediaWiki seems to recommend, and the one that the ZDoom wiki currently employs, I believe. It would stop the vast majority of them from signing up. As for what to do with the ones that are already there, well, I have no idea. I do know that something needs to be done, though.

And it would be great idea to copy some manual on using advanced features from ZDoom Wiki or at least make a link there (unless someone write manual(s) on these topics exclusively for Vavoom Wiki).

The wiki was starting to get that kind of content, but I stopped when the articles began to get overridden with spam . Seriously, is it that difficult to update the version of the wiki software??

Looks like hosting provider has finally upgraded all needed software making this possible. Will do this ASAP.

A fresh installation of wiki has been set up. Old one is accessible at [url:1jsadte9]http://vavoom-engine.com/wiki_old/ until all of the content has been moved to the new wiki.

Cool! I'll begin moving articles from the old version to the new one this weekend . Of course anyone wanting to help with this can start too

I'll begin updating the VavoomC section of the wiki, since it seems to be a bit outdated .

Some friends and me are building a kind of Wikia, containing lots of articles about world of Doom, editing, tips and tricks, etc... Thats at spanish: [url:18166fvi]http://wadguia.wikia.com SO, i write this message cause someone could re-make the Vavoom Wiki, making something more "professional". The whole Vavoom section was written by me some time ago, now unfinished: [url:18166fvi]http://wadguia.wikia.com/wiki/Vavoom I dont ask you all to understand spanish or something, just only distribution, sintaxis, etc... I think Crinsom Wizard (if im not wrong) speaks spanish, so if he has time to translate to english, you can freely copy contents.

I guess I could translate some of the actual contents of the Vavoom wiki and add them to the wikia you are doing, it would be cool to have different languages for stuff IMO, but right now I'm don't have the time to do it, maybe when real life allows me to relax a bit I'll update something there, so far it seems to be very complete, the only things needed there are the translations , it's always nice to have these links around, heh! .

I dont refer you to translete from Vavoom Wiki to "my" wikia. If you really want, you are wellcome. I mean that Janis (or the Vavoom Wikia maintainer) can use the source code from "my" wikia as an inspiration, to reorganize the Vavoom Wikia.
