Does Vavoom have any limitations to texture sizes, primarily texture height? Is there any difference between textures defined in TEXTURE lump and using PNG as texture? How does Vavoom recognise which is hi-res texture and which is just a large texture?

[quote="Crimson Wizard":yf1zf9ji]Does Vavoom have any limitations to texture sizes, primarily texture height? Some texture formats (patch, TGA) use 2048 for a reasonable size check. For OpenGL and Direct3D there's a hardware limit (such as 4096) that will cause larger textures to be downscaled.

No

Hi-res textures are textures defined in HIRESTEX script, textures between HI_START/HI_END wad lumps, in hires folder in PK3 or in hirestex folder.
