Srry again for my stupidity, but , I would like to create maps for Strife. What editors are there available for that? Can Doom builder work for making Strife maps? Or other doom map editor?

AFAIK only Doom Builder and DeepSea support Strife.

I've never made Strife maps before, hence this question <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: --> : how much hard-wiring can you do with these map editors? Even with WinTex, can you create new dialogue situations? (possibly with a script similar to ACS?). What about new objectives? I'm assuming that's done with ACS as well?

Dialogues are in special format, I don't know any editor that can edit them. I think that there was an utility that can compile a conversation script into binary format. Objectives are mostly handled by conversations and line specials, so creating new ones shouldn't be a big problem.

Yes, there was an utility in which you could write "conversation scripts" with a given format and then compile them to be used in new maps for Strife, Kaiser was the author of such utility, he even made a new map with new conversations on it for ZDoom. Where to find this utility? I don't know (but I think i've got a link to it somewhere).

Based on your post and Janis', in Strife mapping there is a difference between "dialogue" and "conversation." Are they the same, or what's the dif?

It's the same thing.

Dialog is the conversation between 2 subjects, while simply conversation is conversation of 1 subject with himself or >2 subjects between themselves.
