I just got linux (MEPIS) and I did the ./configure, make, and make install (with no errors), and copied doom2.wad to the games/vavoom directory...k? now I have the executable,but opening it does nothing. I just tried to run it from Konqueror and it didn't run. Try running it from console (command line), that works for sure.
