Programming in Acs

I know that various polyobject code is in the progs so i'm also assuming that other acs features can be implimented as well.  What i'm wondering is where is the rest of the Acs code located?  Is it hard coded within the vavoom engine and if yes, where is it located?

<br><br>Various polyobject commands can be called in ACS, but they're just equivalents to what you see in the linedefs.

thats interesting, i was working on adding similar freatures to my megaman game that i ported to vavoom back in september.   The problem is i'm no programmer at all.  Infact it shockes me to see how much i've actually done for knowing close to nothing when i started to port.  Currently i'm trying to update acs to recognise zdooms smooth camera motions (by adding in camera code from zdoom) and monster paths and all the other cool stuff to actually do cinimatic like sequences.   I'd love to see what your working on, hell i'll show you what i'm doing.  I've already adapted your mp3 player (sort of, it stull malfunctions a bit) and i loved the little video you put out (a real inspiration to my project in terms of programming)

Well, thanks... I was wondering if anyone cared ;p<br><br>I haven't been able to develop the core much lately ... anyone who's worked with me in the past knows I'm a perfectionist (to a sane degree <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->) ... if something just isn't going as far as I'd like it to, then it needs to be redone.  (If it can't be redone, then it better max-out its potential...)<br><br>Anyway, I was originally going to do 3D sprites for the characters ... but they're not really good for the panoramic movie-esque cinematics I'd really like to make!  (Sprites, of course, will flatten out at almost any non-eye-level projection angle...)<br><br>I, however, have absolutely no ability to use real 3D modeler programs.  It seems to be an inability of my mind or something (I just can't work in all 3 at once, and you need a certain amount of that to align points)<br><br>Soooo... I wrote a program that helps me by making outlined facing directions of my characters, and 3-dimensionalizes point plotting, which later gets dumped from my custom file format to an ASC importable ...<br><br>You can see progress here on the model I managed to create and am currently skinning out... I'll show you again when it's complete probably.

Well Damn... It took me three weeks to figure out a meathod of trawing a translucent menu picture...its gonna take me a while to impliment all this acs stuff.
