Playing add-on WADs

Hi. I just discovered Vavoom recently and have been really enjoying playing through the up-res'ed versions of some of my favorite old games. However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to playing add-on WADs. According to this thread (links don't seem to be working, so: /forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1498), I should just need to do this:
vavoom -opengl -openal -nolan -doom2 -file addon.wad
Is that correct? Reason I'm asking is that I tried it, and it does work on some files, but fails on most others. When it fails, I just get the original Doom II WAD instead of what I specified with -file. Am I doing something wrong here? These are all WADs from the same collection, so I can't think that so many of them would be just outright bad. I also don't see any error messages or such coming from vavoom that could indicate a problem. Any ideas what might be wrong, or is there a different/better way that I should be launching the add-ons? Thanks.

Nevermind, the WADs were loading correctly, I just didn't realize that I have to manually warp to the appropriate level in some of them. This used to be handled automatically by a menu system, so I didn't realize this part of it. So, feel free to ignore this thread. <!-- s:-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:-) -->
