I've finished my Vavoom level. It's a bit short, but that doesn't really matter.

You can get it at my Doom page:

http://slayer226.web1000.com

Had to dig up my DOOM 2 CD from the throwout bin... wow, I forgot how ugly this game was... ::) Anyway, I found only 2 3D floors, a water basin you can dive into, and no slopes, or did I miss the rest?

I can't get slopes to work, and there wasn't much opportunity in the level to use 3d floors.

Yes, I said it was short, it's mainly to show off the static lighting

And DOOM IS UGLY??????????? GET OUT!!!!!!!!!

DOOM was quite a competition for Quake I and even for Quake II in looks, but everything since Unreal is just too far beyond DOOM. And let's be frank, DOOM's graphics weren't cutting edge even back in '93. If you've ever played Heretic or Hexen, you have seen how much more potential the DOOM engine had than what you could see in DOOM itself (same goes BTW for all 3 Quakes and their engines).

Heh, well, Doom has fun gameplay and easy editing, and that's all tat really matters to me
