From the Official Doom FAQ that I've had for ages: Happy DOOM Birthday! It's not often that someone can ask me, "What were you doing at this very moment, one year ago?" and I would be able to answer. Today, December 10th, 1994, is one of those rare occasions in which I know exactly. So Doom was officially released December 10th, 1993.
