I'd like to know before I pull out any more hairs exactly what in the VC code makes an object or projectile request itself to be dynamically lit, like the Lost Souls and rockets do ;p

This is done by setting a property Effects (I'm using 3 lowest bits for dlight) and then handling them on client side progs.

a quick question:<br>If you do apply a dynamic light source to a projectile, does it have to hold the light source while its traviling or is there a way to make a projectile light up only upon its impact?

Well, my guess would be you'd be required to make the explosion, not the projectile, be the one producing the dynamic light?

This is done by sending a custom network message that you handle on client side, where you can do such things as add dynamic light, throw particles, etc.
