Help on PolyObjects (or Boom "Fans")

I need to make a big fan at the Ceiling of a map. I can use polyobjects or even Boom trick to simulate a fan. Anyone know how to do this? Or a good tutorial on how to construct polyobjects? Thanks.

Are you saying it is possible to make a poly you can stand on / walk under? From what I knew, it was impossible earlier; but last time I tried that was about 2 years ago, maybe something changed in engines since?

Nope, polyobjects can't be used with 3d floors because they need to be solid (1-sided lines). I know how to do a "simillar" effect. Using a second player start, we can activate linedefs when that second player start walks over an activeable linedef. To make that second player start, we must use conveyors, moving all that keeps over them. The problem is that i dunno how to make that effect, and simulate the "3D effect". I tryed with the cogwheel you told me, but i couldn't reproduce. Maybe Janis know about that Boom tricks.

In any case you can use a fanl-thing represented by a model or a flat sprite (these are now available in vavoom)
