Yes, this source port started as a ZDoom community effort to bring out a new version of the engine, heh! Then Graf decided to merge this with the latest ZDoomGL port and this was the result, not happy with that he used Vavoom's 3d floors and added new stuff to it, to the point that ZDoom has almost all these features (3d floors aren't supported yet). That HUD could be actually done with progs <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->. There is DDF which was EDGE engine's own language, it's very similar to VavoomC, but it's not as advanced, ZDoom has DECORATE, which is very powerfull, but I don't understand how it works <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->.

All input events are passed to ClientGame.MenuResponder method. Just add handling of mouse events.
