I can't figure this out I installed vavoom from source then installed all the addons , and everything is fine in heretic,hexen,doom2 but in doom 1 the main menu that pops up at the beggining is messed up. there isn't a place holder and most of the sub menus are blank...I think there still there because it still makes the sounds but I can't see what I'm doing to adjust options....I don't think I have a corrupt wad file but hopefully thats not the case. There has to be a way to get this doom 1 to work.

By default it's bount ot PrintScreen key. The screenshot will be saved in ~/.vavoom/basev/doom directory.

for some reason its not letting me add attachments to my posts, but anyway the option menu is blank except for the main "OPTIONS" title. but it makes the sounds as if I was navigating through it. And there isn't a cursor to show the selection in any of the menus. When I go to exit I also get a small grey block on the screen without text apparently the do you wish to exit text is being chopped off....like I said hexen heretic and doom2 work flawlessly....its just with doom1.

That's very strange, as it works fine for me.

Can't that be some version differences? For example font lumps have non-standart names?

Firebrand

Or maybe somehow the code being compiled isn't that from Doom1?

The Wad file I had must of been a weird version or something, I just got out my old doom disks and used the wad from them, and it worked.....
