I am running Gentoo Linux. I installed Vavoom, but didn't exactly know where to find this Allegro setup utility(I emerged allegro), but I eventually found an allegro.cfg when I DLed a source version. I still didn't get a setup utility, but managed to edit it(hopefully with the proper values). I know the cfg at least semi works, since my sound inits whereas before it just crashed. Now it still doesn't work, but I get this output:

bash-2.05a$ ./Vavoom -opengl
adding doom2.wad
adding basev/doom/wad0.wad
adding basev/doom2/wad0.wad
configured audio device
SFX : /dev/dsp: 16 bits, signed, 44100 bps, stereo
Music : The sound of silence
CD Audio Initialized
Aborted

If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know how. If you wish to e-mail directly my e-mail address is strabo@digitaltorque.com

Thanks

Ok, just playing around with the command line, I found out that it's the network stuff that it aborts on. I have to have -nolan in the command line for it to run. I would like to be able to play Vavoom over my LAN though. Anyone know how to accomplish this?
- Strabo
