Why do we need two directory for ddf files to<br>utilize dd2vc?<br><br>It would be easier to just use one directory to <br>hold all of the ddf files and maybe the ldf ("Strings") file--this is the way it works in edge.<br><br>#                                 #                             #<br><br>More tutorials on how to use vcc would also be helpful.<br><br>i.e. adding line/sector specials, adding things,<br>extending game play, how the object system works. <br>DDF-s also allow you to add stuff to the existing data. AFAIR this works only with DDF lumps in wad file. In that case EDGE parses all such lumps and merges all data together unless there was a command to ignore previous data. But if you have all ddf files replacing everything (i.e. you don't need original data), you can use only one directory and it will work just fine.<br><br>

<br>Yes, but who will write them? And there's another problem - it's still quite new stuff and is constantly changing, especially the core stuff. And creating a more or less stable API is more important right now.<br>
