[LINUX] Configuration files in home user directory

Tue, 24 Jan 2006 22:16:35

Hello to everybody! This is my first post First of all... Sorry for my bad english! I have tried to run successfully Vavoom Engine on Gentoo Linux AMD64, compiling it as 32bit application (using multilib); i made a working ebuild, but remains a quite important problem: the vavoom executable search data and configuration files in the installation directory and in basev subdir (e.g. /usr/share/games/vavoom for wads, in "basev" subdir for other files). Is it possible to tell to the executable to search and if necessary create configuration files in the user home dir (~/.vavoom) ? Same thing for GWA files. Thanks to the developers, yours engine is great!!!!

This will require some modifications to the engine. I'll do this as soon as possible.
