[Implemented] ambient sounds?

i know that you said that vavoom has soundinfo script<br>but there is currently no way of adding any ambient sounds or sequences in a map. would they be hard to<br>add in vavoom? it be really cool if you could!<br>cause the vavoom maps look fan @#$%& tastic!<br>but there just dead quiet! its kinda like watchin<br>lord of the rings or blade2 with no sound! other than<br>that keep up the good work!<br><br><br><br>

You could also, for the time being, just create customized ambience sound objects a la Heretic / Hexen and include a customized progs script...<br><br>Of course, the downside being your WAD suddenly becomes version specific.

BTW I just realized that there is a way of adding ambient sounds - with ACS scripts. AFAIR Hexen does this that way.

I know you can call "LocalSound" from an ACS script, yes, but can you make it ambient to a particular area?

I think that SectorSound does what you need.
