[Fixed] Strife - h/acc upgrade received without a reason

When I reach Fortress: Bailey IIRC I should be +40 on each (Programmer, Training Facility, Power Station, Prison, I think), but as I go through Security Complex and Administration I keep receiving upgrades, though there's no reason for it. The catch is that I didn't noticed what triggers those upgrades. I think it were either some switches or the fact that I often save/reload (well, I noticed more than once, that i.e. if I kill in power station the technician with the gold key but don't take the key and save, after reload the guy often gets resurrected).

I'm posting this as a reply to make this more noticeable. Well, I've gone through MAP19 again to try to find the reason for those upgrades. I must say I'm really surprised by the result. At x=385.360870, y=3050.07951, z=408.0 yaw=75.595627, pitch=-3.267051 on the wall there are two screens, behind them there's a secret room, to get there you have to shoot at least one of those screens and walk through. Get this, shooting each gives you +10 st/acc. It definitely shouldn't. This seems to be caused by progs/common/linespec/LineSpecialLevelInfo.vc: final bool EV_GlassBreak , but I don't understand what should that be doing in the first place. Little update: I think the problem was introduced with svn-2995, when EV_GlassBreak was simply moved from progs/strife/game/StrifeLevelInfo.vc to progs/common/linespec/LineSpecialLevelInfo.vc . If this function made sense in the previous place (it could have been this way), the part of it with UpgradeStamina/UpgradeAccuracy doesn't make any sense while in common, I think. If I offended anybody with those posts, I want to say that I never meant to. QuestItem29 is apparently the result of freeing the mine drones. However, I don't think it should be in common progs and some check should be added that it's triggered only for destroying the transmitter, not for other glass too. And on an unrelated note, what level editor could you recommend for Linux ? Only one I found is Yadex. Other are Windows only, and while I could use wine I'd prefer not to. Is yadex any good for Strife and Hexen (with Janis Legzdinsh patch, of course).

I did some more testing and ... it really silly. It seems that not only upgrade is triggered only for some screens, but the weapon matters too. Dagger, machine gun and blaster@scatter triggers it every time, grenades only sometimes, the rest of the weapons doesn't.

--Not important -- While that fix works, it broke a few things. Mainly, when you start a new game, you won't get Blackbird (communit) after talking to Harris. --till here-- (I should really stop posting 5 sec. after I discover something, cause often another 5 sec. later I realize I was wrong) Many thanks. There's an other little issue. On map02, x=3415.549316 y=4676.751465 z=168 yaw=268.518646 pitch=4.718988 if you started a new game right before you is a wall, behind it is a switch, bit later in the game, it lowers slime level so you can find power coupling. This switch should not be switchable through the wall.

No, it can't edit them.
