When you hold down the fire button with Gauntlets of the Necromancer, the sound doesn't loop properly. It constantly resets and never finishes.

Not currently. The best way would be to try another source port. Can you recommend me a source port that is easy to install/compile on 64 bit Linux ? My other favorite, Doomsday, compiles but crashes when starting a new game. I might be able to compile it

OK, I've found the cause of this bug, it seems the engine had a limit of one sound per entity in the game, which IMHO is a bad thing, I've removed the limit and the sounds seem to play better now.
