Settings: 1600x1200 (is there a way to make this 16:10?) The latest snapshot for windows (4326) is missing the vavoom.exe file.

Using the 1.3.2 vavoom.exe with the new files from snapshot 4326, and starting a new game, I got the same error when in the first mission. At the doorway with the force-field guarding the cup (force field still up), I hit the space bar when pressed against the force field. Game crashed with this:

Started up the game again, new game, and crashed at the same place as when I first posted the bug (fighting one of the first guards). I'm guessing the changes should be in the vavoom.exe that is missing from all the posted development snapshots.

Still getting the same crash with 4327. Happens randomly when fighting guards. Are you extracting the whole contents of the ZIP file? You also must make sure to overwrite them, or you will end with older version progs and new version of Vavoom executable, I've tested this myself with the latest revision and it works fine.

Sure am. I just tried unzipping them to a new directory, so there would be nothing to overwrite. Then I copied my strife1.wad and voices.wad (and xflats, xgfx, xwalls) into the basev\strife directory (I have the full game). Fired up the game, took out the first guard. Remapped my keys, and exited the game so they'd save, so I wouldn't have to remap them each time. Fired up the game again, played for a bit. While fighting 2 guards, this happened:

By "played for a bit", that was about 2 minutes or less.

It may have something to do with the xgfx, xwalls, and xplat files. I removed them, and didn't get the same crash while fighting guards, and had the other bug occur instead (seg fault), that I've already posted.
