Using Vavoom, Hexen seems to suffer from some memory problems, crashing every few minutes. Usually in a transition of stages. I've toned down the graphics and such, turned off the sound, but it's only buying me a few transistions. It crashes after I use 4 teleports.

I've got 1024 MB of DDR, I don't think I have a memory problem. 90% system resources are open when I run the game. How can tell it take more memory?

Strange, I haven't experienced such probs this far, though I have "only" 512 megs. What's your OS? Do you use the latest 1.15?

There are some command line switches for specifying more memory, try them.

I don't know them. I don't know the Quake engine worth diddly-do.

Hey, did this solve your problem?
I've just set up (well, OK, maybe a few months ago) a computer in my living room, hooked to the TV. Haven't played Vavoom on it much because I need a longer keyboard cable. Anyway, tried it out today and had the same problems you did, also running win98 (P4 1.8, 256MB RAM, GeForce FX5200). If it works, I'll have to give it a shot...
