[Not a bug] Doom2 map32 cyberdemon seen through door

In Doom2 MAP32 I can see the stillstanding cyberdemon through a closed door from the other end of the hall.
Without the models the cyb just pops visible and then disappears if I walk closer. With the models on the cyb gradually comes visible and then suddenly disappears again.
If I walk a straight line from the start and pass the first door there are several spots around 2000-4000 map units between me and that cyberdemon where the cyb is visible and where it's not. Maybe it's somehow related to the long distance?

The thing is that the further away the object is, depth check becomes less precise. In your case it looks like the 16 bit depth buffer is being used, which means it's even less precise. Personally I don't have such an effect.
