[Fixed] projectile alignments?

Wonder if this is about my computer or video card, but some Doom projectile explotions (sprites) appear a bit strange heights. When a imp fireball hits a wall, it's final explotion frame is a some bit higher than the level where the fireball flew. I think happens with a few other projectile explotions too. (like bfg) An other sprite oddity. if you use a chainsaw or other weapons at close range to monsters, the original Doom blood splat sprites appear quite often in one place (the upper center) of the screen. Similarely if you use a chainsaw or shoot a solid wall at close range, the Doom bullet puffs appear at the same place as the blood splats. Should I grab some screenshots? These occure both with models on/off, or with openGL or with software mode. (using Vavoom's win version) Also, now woth Vavoom 1.22 and with Doom/Doom2 if you shoot a monster, things on the floor (items, dead monsters) in a close around of that monster suddenly jump a bit upwards when the monster falls. When the monster is down, the items drop back to the ground. You'll see this easy for example if you use a shotgun to the imp in the exit chamber in Doom2 MAP01. (medikits jump)

Bring down the console, then type
r_fix_sprite_offsets 0
That should fix this problem, Janis had this setting as the default, but people concerned about sprites being "sunk" into the floor 1 pixel and he changed it, and now this . I think there could be a way to combine both options and render sprites correctly, but I'm not sure how to do it .

Thanks, that worked for the explosions! But the high blood splats are still in there. What I'd guess, is that blood splats (as map objects) might get spawned above the monster (or the player) when the player is close enough to the moster. And this might happen also when there are lots of distance between the monster and the player, but when the monster moving towards the player. (?) Someone knows this better for sure. A few screenshots here (zipped, converted to jpegs) http://www.geocities.com/gearlost/misc3/shotjpgs.zip shot0001, 6, 12-13 (close encounter, blood splats above monsters) shot0015, shot0023 (blood splats above monsters further away) shot0024 (bullet puff) shot0017 - shot0018 (medikit and shellbox jump when the sarg falls)

It seems to be exactly as you said . It'll be dealt with I guess.
