I'm running Mandrake 9, and I'm trying to build Vavoom with the default Makefile. When I ran "make", it failed with the following error:

vcc.h:85: conflicting types for `enum error_t'
/usr/include/errno.h:69: previous declaration as `typedef int error_t'

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a known solution?

Thank you,
vausteinr

Open vcc.h in text editor and replace error_t with something else, such as compile_error_t.

That made things worse. Here's a snippet of what ensued from make:

vcc.o: In function `__static_initialization_and_destruction_0(int, int)':
vcc.o(.text+0x21): undefined reference to `std::ios_base::Init::Init[in-charge](
)'
vcc.o: In function `__tcf_0':
vcc.o(.text+0x249): undefined reference to `std::ios_base::Init::~Init [in-charge]()'
vcc.o(.eh_frame+0x11): undefined reference to `__gxx_personality_v0'
vcpp/libcpp.a(cpp.o)(.eh_frame+0x11): undefined reference to `__gxx_personality_
v0'
vcpp/libcpp.a(eval.o)(.eh_frame+0x11): undefined reference to `__gxx_personality
_v0'
vcpp/libcpp.a(hideset.o)(.eh_frame+0x11): undefined reference to `__gxx_personal
ity_v0'
vcpp/libcpp.a(include.o)(.eh_frame+0x11): undefined reference to `__gxx_personal
ity_v0'
vcpp/libcpp.a(lex.o)(.eh_frame+0x11): more undefined references to `__gxx_person
ality_v0' follow
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Actually, the output I get now is very similar to what appears in a previous thread '[url:19vvwdt5]http://forums.vavoom-engine.com/YaBB.cgi?board=Troubleshooting;action=display;num=1034008799

I opened the primary Vavoom Makefile and added "ldstc++" to "LIBS: ", but no change. Any advice?

Hmmm. Adding libc++ should help, strange why it doesn't.

I finally built Vavoom 1.15Beta with default settings. It's working fine.
