when finnishing an episode should you be put automatically into the next episode? I have found that in heretic starting th last three episodes from scratch is extremely problematic without the weapons and artifacts collected in the previous level/episode. <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt=":x" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x --> I would also like to know if the wings of wrath are supposed to com on by themselves when you progress a level. <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? --> also in strife the ammo cheat doesnt take into account if you have a carry bag. And the health cheat doesnt check your upgrade level. <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

Everything you state for Heretic are normal, the way it was coded in the original. If you have trouble starting up the higher episodes from scratch, go back and play the shareware until you're good enough. <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P --> (j/k <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->)

DOOM and Heretic are unique in this way, their maps were constructed to be playable on their own, every single one. They've been put together into episodes for better consumability and a feel of a storyline, but they could be in any order and still be playable.

Strife cheats have been fixed. I also decided to fix bug with wings.

That's not a bug, it's the way it was coded in Heretic, so that you get Wings ONLY when you've normally proceeded through a level, and never have one at the start of one so you can't make shortcuts.

Well, technically it was messed up a bit. The way it was in Vavoom was that if you finished a board and still had the wings, they would activate and run out at the beginning of the next board. That would mean you could "cheat" at the beginning of the board because you could fly around for a bit. In original Heretic, it does not activate when you start the next board, it just goes away.

Ah OK, didn't know that. In Heretic, when you exit a map and still have wings, they'll activate the moment you throw the exit switch or enter the exit teleport.
