Hi everybody, I've got a problem running Vavoom on this box: P133 128MB ram Matrox Mystique 220 4MB Software rendering works fine, but when i run it with -D3D, it reports a segmentation fault. The logfile tells me that I have not enough video memory. Is there a workaround for this problem ?? Yes, I know its an old PC and I should buy a new one anyway, but, believe it or not, it runs "Forsaken" with an average FPS of around 30 - it's not that slow. If anyone can help - please answer! greetings, usenix

What OS do you run on? I've got a very similar machine, so I could help you track the problem.

Trouble is, I can't test it. Whenever I want to start a Heretic game with the VLauncher, I get the error message

Failed to create DirectInput object[/color:3072019p]

Stack trace: IN_Init[/color:3072019p]

This occurs even if I use software mode, and disable both joystick and mouse. I don't know what other DirectInput devices there might be?

It seams that your DirectX version is older than DirectX 5.
